Max Payne 3 Release Date

Max Payne 3 will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in March 2012, according to Rockstar. Single-player kicks off where Max Payne 2 ended, with Max starting a new life working as a private security agent for a wealthy family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The campaign will see Max "clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long." The game will also have multi-player, which Rockstar is describing as a "compelling experience". It'll feature traditional modes, in addition to clan support and a "deep reward and leveling system." While Max Payne 1 and 2 were made by Remedy Entertainment, part 3 is being developed by Rockstar's global development teams, using its own Advanced Game Engine. "Max Payne 3 gave us an amazing creative opportunity to evolve one of our most iconic characters," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We're excited to show fans a modern version of Max that pulls them back into his dark and twisted story."
