Counter-Strike: Global Offensive info, screens arrive

A number of bits and bobs from Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive have been revealed. First off, don’t expect a brand new game with everything new. The included seven maps — five for Bomb/Defuse, two for Hostage Rescue — are all based on existing ones from Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source. Like with Portal 2, PS3, PC and Mac players will be able to play together, with PS3 users able to even the odds by using a mouse and keyboard to play. DualShock and PS Move are also supported. Furthermore, Valve will be hosting its own servers for all versions. Players are able to host their own as well, though only Valve’s will do matchmaking based on skill.
